Reshma’s smile
Reshma (name withheld) was in her teens when she was trafficked from a village in West Bengal and sold in a brothel in Mumbai. Her father, Rezwan Kazi (name withheld) tried all his means to find her out and bring her back. Most of the time families don’t want to take back the survivors because of societal taboos. So when the Kolkata-based organization, Sanjog, approached me and shared this story, I was touched. Sanjog told me that Rezwan is also fighting the case for Reshma and he always says, “Reshma had a beautiful smile and I will stand by her until I see her smiling again”. #myfather #illustrations #stopchildtrafficking #change #rights

Shubhangi’s Story
My first illustration from the #doodlewithdad drive at Vikroli, Mumbai. Story of Shubhangi and her father Ram Chandra Gaikwad. I was amazed to see how a father inspired his daughter to wholeheartedly give back to the society. It was a pleasure knowing them both. #myfatherillustrations with Magic Bus
Things aren’t so scary as they seem!
One of the 4 lessons that Adrienne Breaux learnt from her father is to simplify things in life. Her father always says that “things are not as complicated as they seem”. True that! Stay calm and you’ll find a way out. Adrienne is a writer who loves architecture, design, cats and science fiction.

Exhibition in Rome
It is a very special day for me. In April 2013, I started #myfatherillustrationsto promote a cause that I believe in. Since then, I have always received overwhelming support from individuals and organizations. Every story that I illustrated touched me and gave me the inspiration to move on. Despite my full-time job and illustration assignments, I was never too tired to illustrate a “my father” story. And today I am so happy to announce that 4 of “my father” illustrations are being exhibited in Rome (6-9 Nov) by Fondazione Roma, IULM, CIVITA Arte supported by UNESCO.

Hindu mythological story for a children’s app
Hindu mythological stories are super fascinating to me. I grew up breathing ‘Amarchitrakatha’. And when I started illustrating for kids, I was always hunting for an opportunity to illustrate these stories using my style. Finally I have this golden chance in hand. I am assigned to illustrate a set of stories for a children’s app. I just finished the first story. Here are some glimpses… Hope you like them 🙂
